  • Has strong verbal and written communication skills, and is proficient with social media;

  • Is willing to work, and ideally prefers to work, as an independent contractor who has autonomy over how the youth hockey program will be built, run and monetized, and whose compensation is derived from the success of the program.

  • Has the desire to build not only a recreational program, but also develop a travel program and camp offerings at the appropriate time;

  • Is relentlessly positive and a good role model (and able to pass an appropriate background check).

The Youth Hockey Director will be responsible for all aspects of building, running, and monetizing youth inline hockey at Tallahassee Indoor Sports. This will require a candidate who is comfortable:

  • Pitching the program to interested parents and converting these interactions into signups;

  • Looking for and capitalizing on opportunities to grow participation, whether online or through attendance at in-person community events;

Assisting parents with all aspects of equipment selection and purchasing;

  • Developing a network of volunteers (parents and existing adult players) to help coach and support on-rink instruction and games;

  • Building and maintaining a program schedule;

  • Collecting and tracking revenue and program participation and growth;
